Sub folders in Fabric Variable library

I would like to be able to define subgroups within a  Variable library.

I have many variables that i would like to organise.

Since Variable library is an item, have you considered creating several variable libraries in the workspace, which you can organize in workspace folders at a desired hierarchy?

Thanks for the response. This is an option. Depending on your coding standards and preference this works. But, I like to have a single overview of all variables used in the different environments. (one variable library per ws). I also have variables which belong to different items in the ws (components). I would like to group the variables to make the code cleaner.

Thanks for the context. Totally make sense. We actually had a thought of adding something like customized labels/tags by users to help them organize and manage their variables exactly for the case you described. Let's see it gains some votes so we could prioritize it properly 🙂

Ok, i understand. In that case i would move them to the GIT branch level instead (workspace settings). If you have one variable library for each git Branche you can reuse the variables across multiple workspaces. This minimizes variable maintenance in larger configurations.
